Jizo-san

I have been wanting to get this lovely little fellow for a long time, and he just arrived today. Absolutely sweet and so peaceful! Excellent quality, nicely finished. Izo-san would make a great gift for anyone who enjoys incense, and wants something decorative without being intrusive. He's just the right size, perfect for any decor, and adds a wee bit of blissful calm to any space he graces.

I adore my new Jizo-san. He is my first incense holder, and i couldn't be happier. His face is so tranquil and benevolent; you can't help but feel happy when you see him. I also love that when he is sitting on the table, he doesn't look like an obvious incense holder, and the craftsmanship is very nice. He has a hole - a bit smaller than a penny- in the back, so if you wanted to burn a cone in him, the smoke can escape. When I burn stick incense, I take Jizo off the stand and set him next to the incense holder. One thing to be aware of is that while you CAN burn the longer sticks in this holder, it's really not the best. The sticks lean and ash will fall on your surface. Still, I did burn a stick of Beckoning Spring, and I just placed him on a tray and all was well. Adore this sweet little Jizo-san.

I love the peaceful expression of this little prayerful saint, and when I see his happy face it always makes me smile. Very well made, beautiful clay. I see little Jizo-chan in prayer and think "Jizo-chan, please pray for us!" :) So much blessing! Sure to become a family heirloom :) thank you!
